Wedding Dress
A wedding dress, or a bridal gown is a ceremonial dress worn by a woman during her wedding day. There are many kinds of wedding dress and it varies from country to country, depending on the culture and religion of the participant. It is natural for a woman to be meticulous about choosing the perfect gown for her wedding since it is a momentous occasion in her life.
Following the Western style, traditional color of a wedding dress is white. White denotes simplicity, innocence and purity. But some style-adventurous brides prefer creamy shades such as ecru, eggshell or ivory for the color of the dress. A wedding dress is often long, but in these modern days, there are few brides who prefer their gowns shorter and form-fitting. Truly, the wedding dress has evolved together with the trends of modern society.
In choosing the perfect wedding attire, the bride must first consider its basic parts: the wedding dress and the wedding veil. For the wedding dress, the bride would have to regard the neckline, sleeve, design and dress length. As for the veil, the bride can choose whether she wants the length to be as short as up to her shoulder or as long as floor length. She can even have it as long as her trail.
Whatever the style may be, a wedding dress is supposed to make a woman feel even more confident and elated while walking down the aisle. And it is also important for the dress to be of good quality since it can be considered as a memorabilia and long-lasting dresses may be handed down to the next generation.
Types of Wedding Dress Gowns

- Sheath – form fitting gown all throughout
- Mermaid – form-fitting gown which flares out at the knees
- Blusher – most flattering; form fitting at the top but skirt gradually flares out from waist down

Basically, they will guide you on looking for the dress that you will be most comfortable wearing in, and will make you look gorgeous at the same time.
- Look for wedding magazines and catalogs, or search the web to get inspirations for your bridal gown.
- Consider your personality and preference in choosing the gown. Are you simple or adventurous? Are you the conservative type or are you the modern kind? Do you like traditional or would you like something fresh and unique? Those examples can serve as your guide in choosing the right wedding dress.
- Keep in mind your theme. Is it a garden wedding, beach wedding or church wedding? Your dress should be appropriate for the venue.
